Busy Month!

Well it has been a busy month.  We are still working on the grooming shop.  Foxbend A Touch of Honey aa Lexi has come to live with us.  What a LONG drive.  We drove to Orangeville, Ontario in September to meet Susan and David Crawford to pick up Lexi.  A 23 hour long drive back...well worth it.  Lexi has gone to 2 fun matches so far and won the Group both times.

Fred has been making his mark in the rings as well.  At his first weekend out he became a CFC (Canine Federation of Canada) Champion.  To get a title you must earn 3 CACS with a rating of Excellent.  He did this and also gained a card (CACSC) towards his Elite title which he should earn in the spring.  He also placed BOB twice at these shows and earned a Group 2nd and a Group 3rd.

His next weekend out at the Cobequid Dog Club shows, he was BOB and earned a Group 4th gaining 4 points towards his Canadian Kennel Club Championship.  This also put him Number 8 Parson Russell Terrier in Canada.  He is know CFC Ch./U-Ch./Am. Ch, Richex Shadytown Frederick TT (Can ptd)

Fred also became a daddy to 4 puppies out of Luna, Mitern's Superstitions.  2 males (one white and black and one white and tan) and 2 girls (both black and white).  They are 1 week old today and I will post photos at a later date.

New Litter Planned

Tonight we did a breeding between Am./UKC Ch. Richex Shadytown Frederick TT and Mitern Superstitions.  It is an excellent breeding and they compliment each other nicely.  The litter would be due mid October.  Inquires are welcome.

Update on Frederick

Fred is settling in just fine.  WHAT A LOVABLE AND HAPPY DOG!  I am soooo glad we brought him up from the US.  I stripped him out this past weekend and hopefully we will have him entered in some shows this fall!  It's too bad we weren't able to get him entered into the National.  Oh well maybe for the next one we will have a little Fred or Fredette!

Been Awhile...

Wow it has been awhile!  Here are some updates!

We had a litter of puppies in February.  They were born February 20, 2010.  One boy and one girl survived.  Momma was Mitern's Superstitions and proud daddy was Ch. Mitern's the Phantom Piper.  The boy we named Addiron's Bear Claw and the girl is Addison's Susie Q. Both have gone to hteir new homes.  The boy named Rosco can be seen working along his owner Denise Crowe at the SHur Gain Feeds and Needs here in Truro.

Duncan headed back to the US in April.  He sadly tested positive for PLL with an OFA DNA test.  He did finish the #7 Parson in Canada last year and got invited to the Eukanuba Invitational in sunny CA.  He is being neutered and living with a popular horse trainer/judge in MA.

This weekend we are proudly introducing a new boy to our house.  He is Am./UKC Ch. Richex Shadytown Frederick TT, bred by Claudia Sprauge and is coming from the loving home of Shannon Johnson in CA.  Frederick is a nice Black and White boy who has done some impressive winning in limited showing in the US.  We hope he will finish quickly in Canada.

Our first National Specialty is coming up.  Our judge for our regular classes is Sally Yancy, Greensboro, NC and our sweeps judge is Amanda Kelly, Sackville, NS.  It will be held in conjunction with the Halifax Kennel Club shows on September 4, 2010.

We will also be welcoming another pup into the fold, as long as everything goes well in September.  We may take a trip up to Ontario, the first time I will be in that province.  Another step on our way of totally PLL clear dogs.
